FEES & Rebates
Common questions about fees and rebates.
How much are sessions?
Sessions are $150 for 60 minutes, or $195 for 90 minutes. Payment is at the time of booking.
Can I claim on private health?
Yes. I accept the major private health funds, and if your extras cover includes mental health you can claim a rebate on each session, which brings down what you actually pay. Your fund can tell you what your cover comes back with.
Bupa · Medibank · ahm · HCF · ARHG
Which funds exactly?
Bupa, Medibank, ahm and HCF directly, plus every fund under ARHG. That includes HBF, GMHBA, Teachers Health, Police Health, Nurses & Midwives Health, Doctors Health Fund, Westfund, St Luke's Health, Emergency Services Health, Phoenix Health, AIA Health, Mildura Health, Teachers Union Health, Unihealth, See-u by HBF, Defence Health and the Australian Defence Force.
What about Medicare?
Medicare rebates apply to psychologists rather than counsellors, and they require a Mental Health Treatment Plan from a GP. At the recommended psychology rate, that still leaves around $219 out of pocket per session.
Counselling with me is $150, before any health fund rebate.
Victims Services counselling (gap-free)
I am an approved Victims Services NSW counsellor. Counselling is gap-free for eligible clients.
Workers compensation (SIRA)
I am a SIRA approved provider for NSW workers compensation. If your claim has been accepted, your insurer covers your sessions.
Please call or text me on 0479 155 439 to book rather than booking online, as online bookings take payment.
